Corporations are a result of capitalism. Stock holders - the stock market. The pressure of the bottom line at the highest levels creates a culture where even if you work hard you should be working harder.

Burnout risk in the USA will continue to rise until you realize that labour & social norms of 1776 can no longer be upheld today. No industrial country fails because of Chinese imports, every country fails because of inherent problems. Burnout is no achievement, but a disease.
