Even now, while officials say the $2.5 billion reconstruction effort has restored power to 98 percent of the grid’s customers, swaths of hilly country across the island are still pitch black after darkhttps://nyti.ms/2KHGXHo

Even restored sections of the grid are nightmarishly unreliable, as evidenced by last month’s outage, the second major power failure in a weekhttps://nyti.ms/2KHGXHo

Can understand how the Fed and CIA, which have big Ops in Puerto Rico, are allowing this. Depopulation?

Puerto Rico would be an ideal environment to install an actual 21st-century power grid, focused on wind, the sun, waves, etc. as power sources.

I'm all for renewable energy. But there is a difference between generation and distribution. The focus needs to be on both.

This is always the result of liberal socialism. Irresponsibility spend money on feel good items, getting further and further in debt, ignore the real brick and mortar issues, and then expect someone else to bail you out of your stupidity!
