Incredibly, and despite lacking the perceptive/technological faculties of the modern era, so many of our Ancient religions "knew" that the Sun was, in fact, the Creator of all Life on Earth and afforded the reverence of Divinity. Science, Faith, Meditation.

Perhaps equally fascinating is the "scientific fact" that the iron in our blood is, simply put, the essence of stars. All the iron that exists- or has ever existed in each man or woman that has ever walked the Earth- was formed when the Sun was created. Think about that.

In related news, a cursory review of how our moon is- in many ways- a condition precedent to Life as we know it on Earth, in itself, seems to prove the Watchmaker Argument that nearly all the great Scientific minds subscribed to from the 17th Century to the present time.
