Trump doesn’t get credit, he just happens to be president when it happened. Nothing trump and congress have passed during his tenure as president has led to this

Isn't it obvious that the president has much more effect on foreign policy than the entire economy? I mean, how is that a legitimate comparison?

The removal of a massive amount of regulations plays a big part. Regulations are the government's boot on the necks of businesses.

And yet wages aren't reflective of that "competitiveness". The tax cuts didn't put jackshit into the pockets of most Americans - just the richest 1%. And millions are still out-of-the-workforce.

The number has gone from 4.9 to 3.9 under Trump. Under Obama it hit 10.0 at the peak of the recession in mid 2009, then it lowered to 4.9. Trump policies added a ton of risk, volatility and inflation, all of which led to the last recession. We never learn.

I'll get on the bandwagon and cheer when wages rise to a livable level, when benefits enrich lives, and when a healthy retirement package is again the reward for company loyalty. So let's talk about this for a change. #UnionStrong #UnemploymentRate

Unions are great but also often awful for actually improving the lives of workers. To me paying my union dues feels like paying on an insurance policy. I don't benefit by being in mine except the assurance that if i get hurt I'll be taken care of. I'm still being paid poorly

Try living in a country without unions, then get back to me. Don't like what your union is doing for you? Get involved. Become a union steward. Go to your union hall and vote. A union is only as strong as its members. #UnionStrong

When am I going to go get involved in my union? The day I have off or the two hours after work I have To relax before I go to bed?

Not sure my union hall is open on Sunday or after 4pm and I start at 6-7 am get out at 6-9pm. But yeah I'll use my bit of free time to try and help the union I'm paying weekly dues to negotiate better than a 20 cent raise.

So what's your solution? No union? How will that help you? Instead of fighting against the one body that can give workers any representation you need to figure out how you can make it stronger. Complaining about them without working to fix it doesn't help anybody.

Again, I'm paying a union for this. I am a worker. I like my job but it's damn hard, exhausting work.If it's a union that does it's job i shouldnt have to fight for them to protect me, I'm spending my time working 60-90 hour weeks because I have to. Low wages I need the overtime.

I am sorry. Truly. But as I said, when unions are strong, workers benefit. You shouldn't have to work such long hours for so little pay. Nobody should. Blame the system that weakened unions, don't blame the unions.
