Paul Holes was on the verge of retirement, having never completed his decades-long mission to catch the Golden State Killer. Then he had an idea: Upload DNA evidence to a genealogy website.https://nyti.ms/2KAE3UW

Not mentioning her name once, especially when mentioning calling him the Golden State Killer, during that interview was so gross.

This case has disturbed a lot of people who make use of DNA testing companies like Ancestry and others. However, it's needs to be made CLEAR that #DNA testing will NOT make you a target of a police investigation anymore than your fingerprints will. That is not what happened here.

The site in this article, which I have used for the past 3 years, contains data that is provided VOLUNTARILY by those of us who are seeking a #DNA match with others who have tested with a different company and does not offer any testing of any kind.

The police do NOT have access to ANY of the data that has been submitted to the site, and #DNA data in its raw form looks like gibberish to anyone other than the software designed to read it. Even with DNA, this case took many years and a lot of luck to solve.
