Folding up like a tent and hasn’t even met with N. Korea yet! I repeat. N. Korea is a nuclear power. They only stopped testing because their test site is collapsing, not because of Trump. S. Korea’s Moon has been doing all the work to avoid a crisis but the game is changed.

One move I agree with! I really don't want my hubby to deploy and this lessens those chances.

Deployment to South Korea could be a wonderful experience for you and your kids if you would join him. Lived there for 2 years and it’s great!

I've heard good things as my brother was there with the Army. My husband is a Reservist so we would not be able join. I'd love to get out of the US at some point.

My dad was assigned to S Korea w/out family. We joined him for the school year. I went to the school on base. It was a great experience that I’ve never forgotten. This was in the mid 70’s, so it’s probably more expensive now. It’s worth exploring. The Koreans are great ppl.

I still remember a few Korean words I used to get around on those omnipresent taxi cabs-wencho, orwencho, kumsumida. I think: right, left n thank you. And yes they were/are very sweet people. In Seoul, Etawan market... go for it.
