Too bad that it’s co. & drs like them that are making it hard for the people who truly need pain relief to get the medicine they need now. The gov’t needs to find a balance for the people who aren’t abusing & need the meds so that they can still get relief. Excellent article.

This ploy is old news to anyone in the industry. My saintly mom died addicted to prescription opioids from her doctors. When she died I removed hundreds of patches and pills and lost a long battle with her Beth Israel Drs who escalated her scripts. 🤬

Medicine kills more than war. Down with the excessive power of pharmaceutical industry! 😕

This is a very well well written piece, and an informative read. Big pharma creates customers and addicts not cures. This is not only part of the opiate epidemic, but our health care system as well.

I think it’s the Republicans who have rolled back the regulations. Sounds like you’re just making that up.

the Afghanistan war had nothing to do with oil...well - not fossil fuel oil anyway...When a corrupt Nation goes to war for profiteers and vulture capitalists that Nation is lost. America has been dead for decades - don't blame the russians for picking at the carcass

I’m happy that @realDonaldTrump promise to fix opioid epidemic in Ameri...... Oh, this wasn’t result of Trump Initiatives & promise to go after drug companies? My apologies! It’s rather pathetic when journalism accomplished more in 1 day than POTUS has in months!
