Interesting article. The father is the actual issue here...

Friendly reminder not to marry people who aren’t kind to your children. Those wounds literally last a lifetime. My 91 year old grandmother is still traumatized by her stepmother

Will not go to age old stereotype of evil stepmother. As someone who raised child abandoned by biological mom and basically was my child, I would focus on all the wonderful women who chose to embrace someone they did not give birth to. It is not her; it is not you. Figure it out.

Just don't remarry or date until your kids are out of the house. Simple.

What? That’s plain stupid. You just need to learn how to pick someone decently.

No thanx. Once you have kids no one is decent enough for them. Especially if they already have a father no need to meet another man. Those are just my views tho.

What if the father dies though. Wouldn’t it be nice for the kids to have a father figure?

I would consider then. But my main focus would still be my kids well being. Some woman are too busy chasing a man that they forget their kids.

Statistically it is better for kids if parents don’t date or remarry after a divorce. The divorce rate for 2nd marriages is through the roof, and kids are dragged through nightmares like this. Listen to @drlauraprogram
