This worries me as someone who is trying to get a degree in teaching English. I fear my degree will be as useless as an Art degree.

Well, you are entering a public service job. You know what the pay is and it’s not a part time job with minimum wage. It’s a full time job where you get A WHOLE SUMMER OFF. No shit the pay is lower and when these teachers want to complain, they should be removed.

Josh that is exactly what they are doing, quitting or not entering field to begin with, which is why there is a shortage. So since you are such a hard core capitalist. When there is a shortage of qualified employees what should happen to wages?

Republicans don’t want to pay teachers more. They also believe in “America First”. So they’d really prefer having more immigrants come than just paying the people we already have more? Good job GOP

Some newspapers are so desperate for content that they begun recruiting misogynistic "incels" to write editorials for them.

Y'all don't pay enough to get teachers, much more good teachers. Teaching is very challenging these days especially with kids being able to go to school with guns.
