Ok that’s cool but like what if: - We also enjoy our personal space - We consume normal food too (sometimes even salad) - Many of us can appreciate esports without being stereotyped

The article has some good info in there, like the comment dispelling the notion that gamers just live in their parents' basements. Just wish the headline matched that tone!
-
Well said Aaron. Lots of unseasoned comments about gamers around here.

This tweet just stereotypes and marginalizes every gamer out there. I expected better from a respected establishment like the
@nytimes.

Sky, you know everyone I know, and now I feel slighted that I haven't met you. I blame the universe.

Did you post this at 4:20 because you're all high as fuck, because that would explain why someone thought it was a good idea to publish it.
-
It was not, by the way, a good idea

Yikes. What is this garbage?
-
This title is completely misleading and the article itself is alright. My god though!!
-
To be fair to
@NellieBowles, the writer rarely has much say over how the headlines for print and social media get written. I had to argue with a copy editor to get a decent one written for my story. -
Sound like your copy editor is grossly out of touch and lacks professionalism. Would recommend to your publication to find a better one.
-
Haha, I totally agree with you but I no longer work for the publication. The copy editor was at the New York Times :) Guess they haven't changed much since I quit.
-
Most people will not read the article, the headl8ne will be taken as their stance.
-
Unfortunately yeah. That's what I hate about the media in regards to headlines. It tends to misinform consumers and make them assume all the wrong things.
-
This conversation actually encouraged me to read the article, it was actually a pretty interesting read and I agree the headline vastly misrepresents the content of the actual article.
