A new study found that MDMA led to significant reductions in PTSD among combat vets, police and firefighters. By the study's end, most no longer qualified for a PTSD diagnosis.https://nyti.ms/2rdLusc

I'm guessing you'd have to stay on MDMA to keep the benefit working? In which case (and no I haven't read the subscription article doh), what are the long term consequences of continued MDMA use over years? For example, lithium salts for bipolar have bad consequences over time.

From the article: "The current protocol calls for patients to take MDMA two or three times, each a month apart, interspersed with psychotherapy." The article says he MDMA seems to act as a catalyst in the therapy sessions, and on its own isn't as effective.

This drug was on the fast track in the mid-80s as a great therapy tool. I took it then. Before the feds made it illegal and it was polluted by dealers.

The benefits of MDMA for psychotherapy are well known. The problem is that the government will never reschedule it. They can't even get onboard with the legalization of cannabis, so any sort of widespread medical use of MDMA is nothing but a pipe dream.

This is just not true. The reality is MDMA is actually not as available as it used to be back in the ‘90s and early 2000s. What most people have tried is actually Methylone, MDPV and at best MDA. MDMA is the only one with the real magic that allows one to talk about (1/2)

MAPS is a great program that I have looked into. It uses MDMA. It's what it was used for before addicts got ahold of it. Check out the lazy lizards club. The makers of it.
