Years of complaints to Nike went nowhere, female employees said. Then a small group led a movement that has caused upheaval at the top.https://nyti.ms/2HDdIrf

I worked for Nike for almost two years and NEVER felt intimidated by the mostly male environment. I’m not saying that it didn’t, or doesn’t happen. But in my experience, I was discriminated against more, by female managers, than the male managers. The women were very competitive

It's commonly observed that women eat their own first.

Wow. What an enlightening tweet. “Almost 2 years”, and women “eat their own first”. Glad you don’t work there with my female peers if that is your viewpoint. You have to actually be at offsites, exposure to leadership for the “experience”.You come off as part of the problem

Very in-depth presentation of a story that is so relevant in these times. So much abuse under the cover of a perfect company doing its everyday business! Painful and humiliating for the women on a daily basis. #MeToo has countless other voices . Getting stronger.. and resonating!

This is only the tip of the iceberg. Nike’s products are made in hundreds of factories around the world by over a million workers, mostly women and girls, with a sordid history of sweatshop conditions. #TimesUp

Yes, they have kids in their highly regulated, advanced factories🙄 when did you visit one?

In the last couple of years, have visited Nike factories where workers, mostly young women and girls, routinely fainted at their machines because of the heat and long hours.

But I didn’t let them bother me. Bitches will be bitches. I ignored them and did my job. Wasn’t worth my time to complain. I’m not a person who kisses someone’s ass to get ahead. I work for it. And if I don’t get ahead, then maybe I didn’t work hard enough.
