        Perhaps because people want the ideal thing (i.e. no one to take drugs) and in this hope inadvertently end up causing a much worse situation than would exist if they were to instead accept a compromise.

        Trump's now ordering the jailing of civilians for miniscule/harsh traffic fines. "Austerity Prisoners of War!" & then, finally pull the barrier & safety net from a large & susceptible minority, caught between poverty & no hope, that won't harm the rich & could risk world health?
