As a May 1 deadline looms, the decision on whether to grant exemptions to the steel and aluminum tariffs, and to whom, appears likely to come down to the whims of President Trumphttps://nyti.ms/2r8YZKf

Let’s all get a show of hands for Americans who support unfair trading where US pays 50% tariff & foreign country pays 15% to sell into US. Yep, what moron would accept that? Clean up the mess others have gotten us into.

Accordingly, it is simply non sequitur for ANY "news" outlet to "allow the GOP" to "let Trump take the fall" for the INJURIOUS TARIFFS as the midterm elections approach when, as here, they are EQUALLY COMPLICIT in such RECKLESS FOREIGN/ECONOMIC POLICY affecting so many industries

Just this: the Congress has PLENARY POWER to REGULATE ALL INTERSTATE COMMERCE and COEQUAL FOREIGN POLICY POWER under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. It is difficult to envision a set of operative facts that would justify their immediate intervention any more than this.

That is just the regurgitated narrative of the Post Fairness Act "news." To the contrary, the GOP Congress will have COEQUAL BLAME for ANY ADVERSE ECONOMIC EFFECTS from these tariffs because it is the MAJORITY and can either "sign off" on it (even through inaction) or STOP IT.
