Dominated by conservative morals taught by the Roman Catholic Church, the Philippines is also one of Southeast Asia's most tolerant countries toward LGBT peoplehttps://nyti.ms/2JEEk7S

This is like saying a mango tree produces bananas. You can't give what you don't have, a bad tree cannot produce good fruits and vice versa.

Pity there is no "investigative journalism" in OUR (once mighty, pre-deregulated) Free Press about "how the Establishment Clause is being REPEATEDLY VIOLATED by the GOP" (e.g., parochial school vouchers) vs. how OTHER governments treat/mistreat members of suspect classes.

of transgender troops. The FACT Trump is "violating Federal law" (e.g., Equal Protection/Due Process) when "purportedly making new ones" (e.g., military ban) underscores how far untethered from the Constitution the GOP will go to appease the Religious Right. Say, like the NRA.

Yet like with UNLAWFUL Gerrymandering, SUBVERTING Federalism and DISREGARDING Abortion laws- the GOP WILLFULLY DEFIES the Supreme Court's LEMON TEST when promulgating PRO-RELIGIOUS State Action under the auspices of "morality" or "made up" pretexts, e.g., Trump's military ban

Perhaps the larger paradox is how the UNLAWFUL COLLUSION between the GOP and the Religious Right has resulted in the erosion of CIVIL RIGHTS in the United States, e.g., every U.S. citizen has a DUE PROCESS RIGHT to a Government free from Religious Entanglement.

The Philippines is tolerant to LGBT the same way early 20th century US was tolerant to black people; they are celebrated for being minstrels and entertainers.
