They should get as many chances as obese people who continue to eat unhealthy foods, alcoholics who continue to drink and smokers who continue to smoke.

True no one decides to be an addict on purpose. It’s not an easy fun road. It’s physically mentally and emotionally challenging. Empathy for what “addiction” means please

What's the alternative? Letting them die? Addiction is an illness and should be treated as such. Anything less is inhumane.

You expect this admin to really care about addicts? If they had any serious interest they wouldn't have put @KellyannePolls in charge. Maybe that would be a better job for Dr. Ronnie since he apparently has some experience handing out opioids.

IDK how you got the impression I thought Trump cared about addicts. Trump cares only about Trump.

Seriously, every patient who needs rehab for drug addiction should receive that care, before and after surgery. Otherwise there will be a lot of wasted effort and broken hearts.

The fact we have to ask this question shows how we have pretty much failed at addressing addiction in the first place

Meaning, you can stay on life support indefinitely if you have enough money. Also, people cyro-freeze themselves hoping to be revived one day.

People with money also leave the US for other countries to get organs. Socialized communist countries have even been caught harvesting and selling organs.
