Keep in mind this didn't happen in some back woods racist southern good olé boy golf course, rather it was in the liberal progressiveness of yankeedom.

Um, it's certainly racist as hell up here and all around the US, but Central PA is by no stretch of the imagination the "liberal progressiveness of yankeedom".

Which is my point exactly, had they been playing in Augusta Geirgia they would be soon more respect.

The Augusta Georgia who just had the first women’s tournament in history this year? Because women(black or white) were not even allowed to be members until a few years ago? Good call, nothing but respect down here.

Now, now, this is not the 50's and 60's when your paper was determined to incite racial disharmony.

What about the white people on the course inciting the disharmony in person? They get the pass from you?

I wasn't there and no, they'd not get a pass from me but I approach these types of stories with caution since I only know what they are writing in their articles.

It’s not inciting anything. It’s part of the dialogue that will hopefully bring an end to racism all together. It’s not easy but we need reflection in order to change. What do you think the article is trying to do? Do you fear that blacks will retaliate against whites?

I agree with you about positive dialogue but I don't trust the NYT's aims. I am not suggesting forms of retaliation or anything that dramatic, I'm a bit suspicious when there are a series of similar themed stories occurring over a brief time period.

Balance it out by reading FoxNews. They regularly have articles portraying the worst side of blacks, Latinos, and Muslims. Those stories make white people mistrust minorities.

They started harassing them on 2nd tee? I’ve never heard of such a thing. New owners called police b/c they wanted them removed from course. These women were members of club well before new owners, who appear to be jackasses.

Read the entire article before spouting off. They were warned of slow play after one hole; however, the group behind them claimed they never call got up to them on the front nine.

I have seen people of all colors and sex asked to leave the course for this reason...such BS this group is special. I myself was asked to leave a course with a group cause we were not keeping pace. Happens all the time, it is a basic rule everywhere.

Don’t lie! They ask u 2 leave if ur holding up others. That clearly had not happened in this case. If u go in 4 Beer at the turn (2 spend money) the owner says thank you - not go home. I play & have been asked 2 pick it up repeatedly & NEVER asked 2 leave. It’s about RACE
