Six months ago, a parks official came across 2 boxes that had been sitting around for decades. Inside were 2,924 slides that nobody had looked at for 40 years.https://nyti.ms/2KjhL9T

The 70’s were an awesome time to grow up. I don’t think I would wanna grow up in today’s world.

Thank you! This is the NYC of my young adult years. I remember the freedom and joy and not the dank and dismal from those years.

I was in the city that summer. It was only for a week, but it was exciting, not wretched. Granted, it was dirty and dangerous too, but most of all, thrilling.

Wish I was in NY to see the rest of the exhibit. The city looked so different in those days than now.

Time capsule~ amazing historical find, even though it is just pics inside cardboard boxes. The pics show a time in New York how people would overcome hardships and still be happy with their surroundings! Timeless and priceless. Thank you for sharing with the public!
