Five years ago, Pope Francis was elected to be an agent of change within a church shaken by scandals. He quickly became a global force, and even non-Catholics adored him. But today, Francis is increasingly embattled.https://nyti.ms/2raOFRw

How can one be an agent of change when elected by a bunch of old men, 0% women, in a masculine absolute monarchy right in the heart of Europe

As a child, I never understood the meanness of religion. As an adult, I left the catholic church, but I took with me the lessons of love in the stories of Christ. To me, this pope’s focus on relieving suffering&including all in the human family is a light in a dark world.

Not an easy job for a 76yo man.. changing from within a millenary institution, going against hidden forces that that have been there for quite a time.. just hope he's got the strength to keep draining the swamp.. in the name of the people who believed in him as a game changer

Well considering the conservative arm of the church drove away American catholics in droves, thus Catholic has nothing but good to say about the pope.

Papal history is rife with those who would forego the true teachings of Christ to have worldly power, riches and control over others. Pope Francis has been refreshing. The response of the the church, however, is neither new nor surprising.

The ones causing Pope Francis problems within the Church is a small group of Traditionalists Catholics who support nationalism and racists attitudes I am talking about the type of Catholics who support DT. This types of Catholics for the most part are fanatics & narrow minded.

The Vatican is the richest country in the world. The Pope is the most powerful politician in the world. The Jesuit order is the best spy agency in the world. Sounds crazy you say? Just wait a little while.
