Why is it so hard for people to understand the real issue here? It’s not about her blog posts. They’re vile, don’t get me wrong. But I fully support personal growth. The issue here is that she lied to cover her ass. Going so far as to involve the FBI. Why are people cool w this?

Exactly. And she lied using an easily discredited hacking excuse. I guess the establishment media doesn’t want to go there because it may reveal how ludicrous the Russiagate narrative involving hacking accusations really is.

Do not practice hypocrisy. If this was done by a white conservative man/woman, their life would essentially be over; fired, vilified in media, etc. Look to the past few months of reporting for further proof. Either we hold ALL accountable equally or we forgive ALL equally.

OK... wtf kind of messaging is this? To paraphrase: "I am truly, truly sorry for the things I have said and the way I have treated certain people. But I truly don't believe I wrote those things." So you're sorry for not having written bad things? This is almost GOP logic.

JUST RELEASED: The New Republican Talking Point is... Targeted harassment against @JoyAnnReid Republicans- trying to destroy the credibility of one American journalist at a time. Dear Journalists, when do you think they’ll come for you? #TrumpHatesAmericas1stAmmendment

Think she's doing a pretty good job of destroying her credibility on her own. If she believes she didn't write those things then why is she apologizing?

I don't know what the truth of the matter is here but Joy Reid is an effective political analyst that errs on the side of facts rather than speculation in her reporting. She's valuable to the public conversation about what's happening daily in our country.

The issue isn't what she wrote. It's that she made up a ridiculous lie to try to deny it, and she's still lying now when she says "But I truly don't believe I wrote those things." She's proven that she'll lie and lie again through her teeth if it benefits her.
