Any chaplain worthy of the title would offend someone in Congress at some point. Best solution: House members keep God in their hearts but secularize the chamber.

Why? What really is the point of having any representative of any religion in the halls of Congress? Nobody listens to them anyway. Take a look around. morals or ethics have no place in congress or any branches of govt. It’s nothing but a charade by hypocrites anyway.

Maybe so, but it is impossible when the GOP hides behind religion and acts in less than a Christian manner. Ask them, as a Christian, what is your purpose in life? Is it to cut healthcare, Medicare, Social Security? Give $ to the rich & cut help to the poor? This is your GOP.

This is just a distraction to avoid answering the American people for his inaction on real issues. The new tax reform for the rich or gun control.

A chaplains profession is to promote the kingdom of god. It’s the role of a prophet. Look at the prophets in the Bible. None of them were subservient to political leaders - they served their god boldly.Righteous leaders listened to the prophets/ others persecuted them like Ryan

@atheistalliance This is a perfect example why dividing religion from state is mandatory for the preservation of our political arenas, passing Bills, and negotiations of litigators using religious persuasion. THERE SHOULD BE NO PRAYER ON CAPITOL HILL. It should be illegal.

No wrong we need religion, this is a religious country, religion should be respected, but it shouldn’t get involved in any of the governments laws. Only those who are afraid of religion don’t want it anywhere, we have to see this too
