The $375,000 salary for the new CDC director has come under criticism from Senate Democrats and watchdog groups. He is being paid nearly twice as much as his predecessors.https://nyti.ms/2Ju0BVR

$375,000 for a guy leading the war against super bugs that could nearly wipe us out, seems to be a bargain to me.

That's one position where I think paying enough to attract the most qualified people is worth it.

I can’t wait to see which bullet proof SUV he selects? Or maybe he’ll feel the need for a bullet proof toilet seat? To out bulletproof that guy over at the EPA?

Hmmm, he knows about HIV/AIDS, but nothing about public policy or managing a government agency. He still may have conflicts of interest and is still divesting in that (we all know what that means) and making a higher salary than most of his cohorts and those before him. Typical!

The President's Salary doubled prior to Obama becoming President. This is smll potatoes. A small time executive makes 2 million a year plus stoxk options. The main issue isnthat budget allows all Federal Directors to be paid equally. It's a fun job so worth the massive pay cut.
