The New York Times had a spotty record of covering the AIDS epidemic in the early 1980s — and gay culture in generalhttps://nyti.ms/2r3acLy

Acknowledging countless deaths caused by poor education and needless shame is not what you get when you look up “grovel” in the dictionary. Take your homophobia elsewhere. Reporting the news is what news groups are supposed to do.

If you think this is bad, think of what was written about MLK and the Civil Rights Movement in conservative papers. The National Review doesn't make its archives available online of a reason.

You get Aids from monkeys. The first case was brought into California. The gay culture stated giving blood and people were getting it through blood transfusions. Which in turn started giving it to heterosexual males and females. All over butt humping in a bath house.

That's nothing compared to what Reagan did (or didn't do) about AIDS. He stayed silent for years. When members of his administration would address the epidemic, it was only to dehumanize those suffering from AIDS, increasing the fear and paranoia surrounding this disease.

Well it was considered a disease only gay men contracted at that point, so the spotty coverage would make sense.
