In the Hart household, any act of insubordination could be severely punished. The children knew this all too well, according to newly released documents.https://nyti.ms/2Huy4TI

This should be a case study of what went extremely wrong with foster/adopted kids placed in the wrong home. I pray that their deaths are not in vain. Stop posting about their tragedy and demand changes within the system!

This is very sad! "Acting like robots" is a term often used in child abuse cases. Kids are not robots and we can not confuse, "acting like robots" with good discipline. Many times, its over discipline!

Hart family, before driving off a cliff...? Why is it so hard for you to shape your mouths around A white woman deliberately murdered her wife and 6 kids just before child services were about to bust her for abuse? WHY?

I'm afraid I don't understand your comment or your apparent criticism of me. I retweeted a tragic story, that is all. I did notice the racial composition of the family but don't know enough to make a sweeping statement about it.

I have to pay more attention to make sure the objects of my outrage are clearly known. Did same sort of thing last week. Im VERY sorry if you were upset, understandably so, by my unclear mini rant. Please forgive my airhead. Also? Thanks for telling me! I appreciate that so much

Thank you. The story said that one of the kids said the women were racist. Obviously, that needs to be investigated. Social Services needs to do a better job of screening adoptive parents. But apparently they were good at maintaining a respectable front. The story struck a 1

chord. I wasn't adopted or starved, but my mother was mentally and physically abusive. But there was a code of silence in my home. You were punished if you complained to outsiders. Many people, even her closest friends, thought she was a great parent.

Thank you for this article. #devontehart #hannahhart are still missing. #FBI has said they could be travelling together. We need to find them no matter the results. There is no evidence they were also in the suv. Please help pass the flyers . #believethekids #BlackLivesMatterpic.twitter.com/3BE4znhJc0

Had these children would have been White they would’ve been protected. Had the parents not have been White, they would’ve been in jail.

To many times have people adopted children not for the love of children but the money they get for adopting and the abuse that happens after. It's a sick pattern that needs to be addressed. Another horrible tragedy.

Who knows why they adopted the children? Do adoptive parents receive money? I thought only foster parents did.

I have adopted and fostered. Adoption cost around $30k, foster u get paid. If you foster then adopt through the system, you receive income until the child is 18.
