A man given 20 months to live is still alive 10 years later, free of cancer. But the surgically implanted chemo pump that saved his life, and saved or prolonged other lives as well, is being taken off the market. Doctors don't know what to do.https://nyti.ms/2qZ6bba

This is what's wrong with health care today. We need to take care of the sick and get them what they need at affordable prices. For shame!

Maybe our government should spend their money on universal healthcare and actually help out the people struggling for healthcare instead of blowing more money on our military than the next 10 nations combined

The short quick answer to that is to just vote democrat. Republicans should never be allowed near health care ... unless it's profit driven you're stuffed.

If we can intervene in wars then we can intervene in matters such as these that are crucial to the survival of our citizens who politicians are meant to represent. They are at the end of the day law makers.

I don't know. I worked with a lot of Pathologists that weren't in it for the money. They worked loooooong hours and never saw their families. Their goal was the same: To help people. So I guess it depends...

I am a patient of Dr. Kemeny’s. In 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer and given 18 months to live by my first oncologist. Then I met Dr. Kemeny. I went through 4 years of chemo and 8 surgeries but I am alive and going on 3 years cancer free.
