A man given 20 months to live is still alive 10 years later, free of cancer. But the surgically implanted chemo pump that saved his life, and saved or prolonged other lives as well, is being taken off the market. Doctors don't know what to do.https://nyti.ms/2HqJrfc

The article states that the manufacturer (a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson) claims that demand is low and raw materials have become hard to source. Read between the lines, and it’s because only the bottom line matters, not the lives saved.

Probably because Big pharma has some other expensive drug it wants to push rather than save lives.

How is the manufacturer of this pump any different than Martin Shkreli? The people making decisions for this manufacturer are just as disgusting and should be shamed.

So FDA says "Manufacturers cant be forced to make their products". Just more proof that the @US_FDA protects the interests of big business. To this end, whenever the FDA takes deadly products off the market, its only to protect Big Biz from further liabilities
