This is a What the F&%# rule...she is not injecting artificial testosterone...it's natural. What next, guys with long legs will compete against horses!!!
-
-
-
Hahaha it’s not natural THATS THE POINT
-
but... it’s a naturally occurring substance... that her body produces... naturally... by her naturepic.twitter.com/RF53vUPKCB
-
It's naturally produced at this levels for a male, not so naturall for a female.
-
It's called hyperandrogenism It is natural, this woman can't do anything about it.
-
And in fact, they want her to unnaturally lower her androgen levels by taking medications, which is not something that should be done lightly. These medications are not entirely benign and have health risks that could affect her in the future.
-
Just crazy...And they're treating it like shes PURPOSELY using medicine to make her this way...

Pretty wild considering that world-class athletes are generally blessed with some kind of genetic advantage over the general population -wingspan, height, hand size, and yeah, hormone levels. So they’re saying this genetic advantage isn’t allowed, but every other one is.
-
" ... not allowed *for women* ..." because they have to put females who excel in their place by applying different rules so they appear more average again. The older I get the more these people radicalize me re: feminism.
-
I don’t think you know anything about professional sports and doping. Testosterone is a performance enhancer in men and women, obviously as it is the male hormone the levels are higher and vary more (though a similar rule would be good too)
-
but when a woman has levels over a certain amount it’s not natural but she’s outsmarting tests
-
People of the same sex can have differing levels of estrogen and testosterone respectively, this is nothing new, and it's perfectly natural and has nothing to do with "outsmarting" tests. There are no plans to make men with low testosterone compete against women, are there?
-
-
Wow, imagine that, women can build muscle mass through years of continued strenuous physical activity on a professional level! Mind blown! - In case that wasn't clear: Yes, it does. She'd been playing professional tennis for 16 years at that time. Bye.
-
It's a question , don't be defensive.

If this rule isn’t across the board for ALL female athletes, then this is bias and targeted. I also find the health issues altering one’s natural testosterone level to be dangerous. This should be illegal 2 force an athlete 2 take drugs 2 compete.
-
Reverse doping. Huh.

What’s the difference when you have trans men allowed to compete with women and vice versa?
-
A trans man or woman have taken drugs to alter their natural being. That’s the difference.
-
But why is that different? If I compete against someone who has an advantage over me, does it make any difference to me whether that advantage is natural or artificial?
-
Natural advantages are life! Some people have a higher IQ, sports ability, etc...if you do not have a certian IQ, you cannot get into
@AmericanMensa, which is life. As long as an individual did NOT take artificial enhancement, they are just naturally better which is fair -
But why are natural okay but artificial not? You did nothing to deserve the natural ones - you were born that way - at least you did something to deserve the artificial ones.
-
Artificial means someone took drugs to change their ability for the better in an attempt to win because they are incapable of winning naturally. Taking altering drugs is prohibited. This is why steroids are prohitbited.
-
Yes I know they’re prohibited and I know what it means. I’m asking why doing something to actually get that advantage is more unfair than being born that way?
-
Working hard and practicing and naturally increasing your ability is a reasonable advantage. Taking drugs is NOT. Taking drugs also destroys your body and can lead to premature health issues. Again are you for athletes taking steroids? It sounds like you are
