How could they legally stop a person from going to the NBA [or anywhere else] if they chose to ? They're just admitting that the 'student'-athlete is only there to make the university [and NCAA] money...

just pay the players a fair salary and most of the issues would be done

What is the point of making them stay in college an extra year? If they decide to implement a rule such as this they need to start allowing the players to be paid and receive compensation for all that they do for their schools.

Why don't they pay the players if they're going to be sold as brands on national television anyway?

Well, that means you're going to have to take academics seriously when it comes to college athletes. Good luck with that.

Could this possibly lead to a decrease in overall viewership of college basketball. #GSUJOURNO18

Surprised that NBA Players didn't press NCAA to eliminate "one and done." Emphasis of the NFL PA to cut the $50M contracts to rookies entering league; more money for veterans - NCAA commission proposed college basketball reforms, e.g., ending"one & done"https://nyti.ms/2Fg0pXG
