The vast majority of videos removed from YouTube toward the end of 2017 for violating the site’s content guidelines had first been detected by machines instead of humans https://nyti.ms/2qXnU2D

There was a LOT of crap on @YouTube that deserved to be flagged and removed, but there were legions that shouldn't have. I personally requested the removal of a pro-Nazi agenda film for six months that was published in full that existed and was monetized for several years.

Both you and @CNNTech really need to talk to some avid USERS of @YouTube who have chronicled all the events for years both pre "Adpocalypse" and post and how @YouTube still made their money off questionable content and copyrighted material while using "showcase" punishments.

That's because they flagged EVERY video.

@TeamYouTube terminated our unblemished channel for calling robots "objects" instead of "subjects". #truestory

More than 10 hours of video is uploaded on Yt every sec... Machines can do a better job than humans in this case.

This is a difficult issue. The problem is that many rational and authentic voices are being censored, or disincentivized from seriously considering ideas and using language that our uncritical, de facto moral authorities have decided are off limits.

It's a shame we've decided to use a computer-aided censorship system instead of fully educating our citizenry to do this themselves.
