Do a little research on how much fossil fuel energy is expended creating a single windmill compared to what the windmill will produce during its lifetime.

Wind turbines kill between 214,000 and 368,000 birds annually — a small fraction compared with the estimated 6.8 million fatalities from collisions with cell and radio towers and the 1.4 billion to 3.7 billion deaths from cats.

Yet our current Republican controlled Government wants us to go back to Coal and away from renewables. That's so stupid, huh?

I would love to see a follow-up story that looks at the energy storage issues for renewable power and how they're being addressed in Europe. #hydrogen #energystorage http://www.europeanpowertogas.com

The future lays in energy storage facilities, like the ones Elon develop.

That's great. How long can those facilities hold the energy?

Enough time to send it on the grid when needed. They use lithium batteries. My guess is a few weeks.

Really? I know that hydrogen can be stored for months. I assume you've been tracking all the projects in Europe at http://www.europeanpowertogas.com  and have been reading all the reports in last year.

Wrong. More and more fight the windmills who produce electricity when not needed and slice thousand of birds a month (each installation)

supposed to make energy cheaper too. where I live, every ridge line is covered with windmills. I and my neighbors have seen NO reduction in our energy charges.
