Before anyone jumps on here with cooing about essential oils or accupuncture or "taking it to Jesus" for depression, I just want to let you know... you have a fundamental misunderstanding about how brain chemicals operate. I hope you step on a leggo.

Drugs are diagnosed at top high of a rate. They should be last resort after therapy and life changes. Why do we make prescriptions more available than actual human beings aka counseling? #breakthedependence #Rxfree #susocialwork

Drugs are cheaper, less time-consuming and more convenient.

A proverbial pandoras box #Antidepressants. Drs overprescribe 4 relationship, job loss, grieving 1, menopause. They shouldn't b prescribed as a coping crutch long term, It rewires your brain, hormonal system, endocrine system & causes metabolic syndrome, suicide, rage etc.

Somewhat ironic since there is no declaration of an "Anti-depressant" crisis. Yet, a significant percentage of the overdoses reported by the #CDC includes Xanax. They are more addictive than #opoids. An ER Dr. told me it took 6 months to titrate off Xanax less than Heroin.

Yet, this is supposed to be the alternative treatments that is to replace Opoid Therapy. Antidepressants are what are handed out like candy. Have stress at home or work? Take an antidepressant or anxiety med. Don't bother to learn coping skills or deal with the issues.

Depression shows up on brain imagery as bright white focal lesions. Unlike the damage done by MS, CA, ischemic incidents, etc., these spots can disappear—and reappear. Studies of SSRIs and SNRIs—and w/d therefrom-should include periodic MRIs.

Extreme interpretations have no place in journalism. Frankly this is conspiratorial. No we don't use conspiracy theories about the drug companies to distract from Hillary Clinton being referred for criminal investigation? Stop with your bullshit reporting.
