Fact is, if a man had done the same corrupt, shady, illegal things H had done, he would never had been the nominee. She was the nominee bc crazy people wanted a woman president no matter how despicable and evil she was. I honestly don’t know how ANYONE voted for her.

I read this entire NYT opinion piece, not just the twitter blurb. It’s monumentally sad that the writer was, and still is, so blind to why HRC lost. To me, it reads like she sees her (HRC) as a religion versus a person. She’s not a journalist, she’s a cult member.

There was a conspiracy theory that Hillary was told Barrack was going to win in 2008 and she would win in 2016. This lends to there being organized forces, rich and powerful, that control who wins the presidency. Hillary's statement feeds that conspiracy whether true or not.

What about her? She was and she still is the most qualified female to be president of United States, and for sure she would have handled the job way better than any men who were doing the job of the office of presidency, but a con artist stole it from her with the help of Putin.

The core problem that the Democratic Party has had for a long time is trying to shift right to get more votes and instead alienating their base. They should have stuck with their better ideas like getting off fossil fuels and single payer health care.

I don't think they always were but have been consistently right for the last 45 yrs. Biggest mistake was a 2 party system with no labor party. As always flooding politics with $$$

If you need consultants to tell you to refer to the middle class as ‘everyday Americans’, then you are probably not a candidate ready to win the Presidency. The illusion of HRC as the “most qualified” candidate ever gave way to the reality of HRC as an out of touch elitist.
