Kim Jong-Un's pivot away from nuclear testing and toward the economy came just days before a scheduled meeting with President Moon Jae-in of South Korea and weeks before his planned summit meeting with Trumphttps://nyti.ms/2K6NB9U

Right! It's a tactic that the Kim family has used time again from the Agreed Framework to the Six Party Talks. The strategy is meant to put other negotiating parties at a disadvantage. Wat I mean is DPRK ll frame the narrative & if it ain't happy it will point fingers & walk out

What some don't seem to understand is that our previous presidents could have met with NK if they wanted to. NK never met the threshold of a meeting at that level. Why do you honestly think Kim has made these concessions? Look at the whole chessboard. Kim is not surrendering.

.Kim played trump like a drum & got what he's wanted all along - recognition as equal player on the international stage, acknowledgement as a nuclear power & photo ops with a POTUS. With his arsenal settled he can take on development of his economy.pic.twitter.com/nbA3VmkX7w

Trump's an idiot; can't end well. Shutting down a test site that may be in an unstable mountain & is now unusable, without surrendering existing nukes to China's control, means that Trump is being played. Kim will be open to new investment & use 2-3 years to build new test site

Stop trying to deflect from the fact Dt is responsible for this. He challenged Kim to do better by his people. He got China to force Kim to back down. The rhetoric you said would lead to war actually led to peace Korea hasn’t seen in 70 years

This has been a lot of hard work by South Korea for a long time and behind the scenes increasing work and pressure by China. DTJ coming in late and rage tweeting about his “button” didn’t accomplish anything

South Korea gives Dt all the credit but continue to believe that. It was his threats of force. It was his challanging Kim to do better. Give him credit when it’s due or Dems will look even more nuts
