No one should be applauding this. He should learn to take the first “no” for answer.

The headline is brutal, but the article suggests that this guy was more than able to take no for an answer and keep his feelings to himself.pic.twitter.com/MoxFWNMZto

Shame on you for these clickbait headlines that just encourage and normalize dangerous behaviors.

Please, let’s stop saying “friend zone”. It actually supports rape culture.https://www.vice.com/en_nz/article/gv3k3j/the-friend-zone-isnt-a-thing-and-women-dont-owe-you-shit …
-
I thought "friend zone" meant that a romantic interest, regardless of gender, has a platonic interest only. When did it get so loaded?
-
It’s been used most popularly to talk about women not wanting a guy and painted as emasculating. It’s said as if she DID something TO him to mess with him - not because she actually just isn’t interested. The article I linked explains it well.
-
I see. Unfortunately the article is an opinion piece that attempts to support its argument using a Google search query mainly returning http://askmen.com links. Not the most reputable source. It would be like a guy trying to understand women by picking up Cosmo.
-
The article is an opinion piece by a woman that reflects the experience of a lot of women. Sorry women sharing their reflections aren’t a reputable source in your book. If anyone has a peer reviewed scientific study on sexism and rape culture for this guy, please share.

This headline is misleading in that they were friends in school then didn't see each other again until recently

Wouldn’t that qualify as stalking

-
It wouldn't if you read the article.

this is incredibly fucking bad

Guy who couldn't take a hint, finally wears down opposition
-
(if you read the article you would realize that the thing you said isn't true)
-
But people aren't going to read the article most of the time. If the headline and lede are hot wet garbage but the article is good, the average takeaway is going to be damp lukewarm garbage.
-
you can’t preface an article like this
-
This article is the peas-in-guacamole of finding true love articles
-
I have no idea what that means
