Too much money going toward bombings and not enough going to teachers. It's time for new priorities, America.

I hope they get everything they are asking for. Teachers should be well paid, educating our youth is beyond important. The more educated we are the stronger our country becomes. #KnowledgeIsPower

so we want to arm our teachers but not pay them a living wage? SMH

Define living wage. The scale is relative to the amount of work committed. You pay teachers higher wages for there line of work and suddenly it effects the pay scale of those who perhaps work harder. The educational system should recieve more money. Not necessarily the teachers.

don't over-complicate things. today's median living wage in our current economy relative to inflation and cost of living/utilities for an average family of four would be about $75,000 - $80,000 annually

I’m not over complicated I’m just considering other occupations. Believe me I strongly support our educational field. Again the system needs more money. However a manual laborer should also be paid more then as result of relative wages

I see teachers are finally staging walkouts lately. Good. To the rest if you, who's children they have tried to educate on a shoestring budget at home and work for decades, where the hell are you? And where have u been this whole time our educational system has eroded?
