It only counts as an emergency department if the operating principal is “anyone, anywhere, anytime.” Otherwise, don’t call yourself an ED. It brings shame to our specialty

This has been our impending doom for some time. Dual health care systems. One filled with technology and comfort for the rich, and one done to the lowest legal threshold for the poor. For profit health care must die.

This is a great idea... But it’ll never work in Canada. Canadians access to good healthcare is limited by how much funding is provided by the the government that taxes Canadians. Canada govt. spends only during elections. Promising better, but not delivering. @JustinTrudeaupic.twitter.com/47bZKjPleZ

pffft. All you need to do is be in Mexico. I had an emergency room trip on one of my visits to Puerto Vallarta - they had specialist in to see me within 15 minutes, I was treated, broken bones set and out the door in 1.5 hour. AND cost was only five thousand. Pesos ($300).

Yes, this the kind of healthcare for the rich-if they are paying for it, fine. Then are these the people who think the poor should get zero

Do they charge a yearly membership fee? One concierge doctor I know of charges a membership fee of $1,600 per year per person.
