The settlement ended years of legal wrangling between Lance Armstrong and the government over whether the Postal Service had actually sustained harm because of Armstrong’s dopinghttps://nyti.ms/2qMyTf5

Not excusing Lance Armstrong for his actions but Floyd Landis receiving millions as a whistleblower is ridiculous . He voluntarily took performance enhancing drugs while a professional cyclist . He was also stripped of a Tour De France win. Just as bad as Armstrong if not worse.
-
Armstrong ran doping like a cartel. Threatened people with everything if they didn’t follow his rules. Virtually forced teammates into doping and made others have to start to compete. He’s another level altogether.
-
Would Landis have ever spoken out about doping in professional cycling if he had not been caught ? No he wouldn't . He would have taken it to the grave. He shouldn't receive a penny as a " whistleblower " . He is no innocent party , he achieved his Tour victory by using PEDs.
-
That wasn't really the reason for my response. You said he might be worse than Armstrong. I'm just saying that Lance Armstrong was more than doping. He was running the whole PED show and forcing others into it, and threatening them with horrific shit if they spoke about it.

Strange how he pays his due but none of the sponsors have to pay back the hundreds of millions that he made them

-
Not to mention the money raised for cancer research/charities. But hey, I guess I'm supposed to think he's an awful guy because he cheated at a sport that nobody gives a fuck about

Really can’t believe they were allowed to sponsor him (or anyone) in the first place

Add Armstrong to the list of those we hold to a higher standard than the crooks, liars, and rapists working with the Trump administration

I doubt he has 5 million USD left to cover this. I watched his interview with Joe Rogan last year (better than the oprah interview btw). And he legitimately looks financially destroyed by all the previous claims.

Amazon defrauds the Postal Service daily, will you cover that story?

OK smart guy, I’ll give you one chance. Apart from the insults you make no assertion to whether you believe the truth in this Amazon/Postal Service situation. Are you disagreeing? Because the President brought it up, does that make it untrue?
-
1. Yes, I disagree. You posted an assertion with no evidence. 2. Yes, if the orange clown brings it up, that makes it untrue. He lies about 70% of the time. Most pols lie about 30% of the time. 3. If you parrot a clown, you are a blithering shitpickle. Sorry, that's how it works.

1. https://www.google.com/amp/www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/03/29/silicon-war-how-donald-trump-can-crush-amazons-sweetheart-postal-service-deal/amp/ … 2. You’re response is inane. 3. Your argument is supported by fallacy. Lastly, because of your inability to have cogent dialogue, you’re blocked.

Lame. He made 20 times that from his cheating and ruining others chances & careers in the sport.
-
Not sure if you're aware, but none of the Tour titles he was stripped of were awarded to anyone else because there were no clean riders to award them to. He doped in a sport where doping was so common that anyone who didn't couldn't compete.
-
I am aware but that has nothing to do with what i said. He and those like him kept down honest athletes and actively went after those that spoke out against him.
-
Yeah, but IDK. At the time, doping was rampant and everyone knew it, and they all cashed in when Armstrong won the tour 7 times. Then they were all shocked - SHOCKED! - that there was cheating going on.
-
A bit like baseball in the heyday of Bonds and Sosa. Those guys literally saved the sport, and the sport cashed in big on their success. Everyone knew doping was rampant there, too. Then, when it all came out, they too were shocked - SHOCKED! - that there was cheating going on.
-
I'd be a little more impressed with all the people who are throwing these guys under the bus now if they'd been a little more vocal about cheating at the time they were making a fortune from the likes of Armstrong, Sosa, etc.
-
Not saying the cheating is or ever was OK, just that it's pretty self-serving for the people that profited from it then to complain now. Armstrong is giving money back to USPS. Who are they giving money to?
-
1st off usps isn’t supposed to give $$ to anyone they run at a net loss typically & gave $$ for a team under premise it would run clean & found out later it wasn’t. 2nd u already said it cheating isn’t ok at all & this excuse everyone was doing it doesn’t change that.
