For decades, marriage to a United States citizen has been a virtual guarantee of legal residency, the main hurdle being proof that the relationship is legitimate. Not anymore.https://nyti.ms/2HcoOTY

Well, while I had to go through a long ordeal (4 years) to get my green card through my employer (one of the biggest companies in the world) a friend was able to get it in 3 months with a fake marriage. Not fair!

The problem should be that it took 4 years to get a permanent residency in the first place. This immigration system is draconian and backwards, and clearly doesn’t meet the demands of a global economy and taken acquisition. That’s what you should be outraged over, dummy

All this does is push people further underground, making the "problem" worse. How do ICE agents sleep at night after taking law-abiding mothers from their children and deporting them, I will never know. #resist

Did FLOTUS enter this country illegally? Was she served notice that she was to be deported years ago? I’ll hang up and listen.

Yes, she was an illegal alien. This is how I know all you MAGA chuds are full of shit on this issue.

It’s not often I quote fakeAP but here goes, “Melanie appears to have entered the U.S. LEGALLY (emphasis added) and then worked illegally” (she did a modeling shoot while a tourist).

A non-citizen working illegally in the U.S...you guys have a term for that when the person is brown.

That, my friend, is an entirely different conversation. Pal tried to make a point and pal was proven incorrect. I’ll assume he is simply uneducated on the topic, not that he was trying to lie about Melania’s immigration status.

Melania was working illegally in this country. ILLEGALLY. But you guys don’t care because she isn’t brown and Trump likes her. At least be honest.

Pal, what’s the topic? You’ve totally changed the subject. Having said that, it’s true Melanie allowed herself to be photographed for a couple of weeks while her greencard was a tourist visa. I hate it for all the America women that wanted that super model gig but were shut out.
