The two men who were arrested at Starbucks last week spoke out about their ordeal for the first time. “This is something that has been going on for years and everyone’s blind to it."https://nyti.ms/2vt3nsq

White privilege is buying one coffee, setting up your laptop, pitching a tent, building a fire, and practically living at @Starbucks for that sweet, sweet free Wi-Fi while black dudes waiting for their friend get arrested in front of you.

What’s amazing to me is the Black Police Commissioner said the police did nothing wrong. Neither of these gentlemen were told why they were being arrested or read their rights!

Everyone's blind to the fact that businesses have the right to refuse restroom use, and dining room use to non-customers. It's called trespassing, and this whole world has gone batshit crazy.

i'm not judging, just saying that the situation is very unfair for the two black guys. I don't care about the brand, i'm talking about the people

Waiting outside is loitering... unless specified that restrooms are for paying customers then it’s a public restroom... plenty of people go to cafes just to get away and read or use the WiFi without purchasing anything. That bitch was racist.

Not allowing people into bathrooms without buying something? Sure. It happened to me. Maybe, Starbucks has got it in for people with curly hair. Or blue eyes. Or an English accent.

It wasn’t racism. It was basic common sense. And unless you have worked in all Starbucks you are talking out of your ass
