"This is not the first incident like this on campus," a Syracuse sophomore said, and administrators have "the same response every time"https://nyti.ms/2vsj4jl

As a Syracuse student, we deserve every ounce of terrible PR that this incidence creates. Maybe then something will change.

Does Greek life have a purpose other than partying? The occasional car wash and food drive do little to justify these clubs’ existence.

Philanthropy, brotherhood/sisterhood, forming long-lasting bonds and establishing connections/networking, intramural sports, accidental deaths during hazing, having a sense/semblance of belonging on campus, fostering elitist behavior characterized by classism & segregation, etc.

Thx for exhaustive list! Although no wo/man is an island, in-group dynamics often get ugly. The need to belong is not in itself a bad thing, but can foster bad behavior.

Suspending the fraternity? How about kicking them off of campus FOR GOOD, @SyracuseU? Expulsion would be a good start. Your failure to address this type of racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic, xenophobic behavior will be a dark stain on your university for years to come. Shame on you

Yet it's ok to have a 'No Whites Allowed' magazine on campus?https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/mar/1/university-texas-students-launch-no-whites-allowed/ …

Actually, it wasn't "OK" per the University, which removed the fliers. The students took their "effort" to a private place off campus instead. So it wasn't deemed "okay" and your argument winds up being a whataboutism fallacy to deflect from the claim that this video is horrible.
