Audience members willing to wear a swastika (provided by the theater) during the performance get in free. Those who prefer to pay full price are asked to wear the Star of David.https://nyti.ms/2JTYbAS

This is a great bit of artistic provocation. Getting for free will not cost you anything except your soul. But being on the good side and standing for justice will cost a little more. Which one are people going to choose? Great question!

We've seen this experiment before with the Stanford Prison experiment. We all know how it ends... and it ends poorly. If you need a marketing stunt like this to get people to see the performance, I'm pretty sure the performance sucks.

I love how literally NONE of the responders here have actually read the story. This is being done in Germany. That said, don’t care if they’re giving out a billion $, nothing would make me wear a swastika.

As someone who worked in a number of in your face, provocative theater companies in my acting career, I understand what they thought they were doing, but they seem to be confused about the difference between provocations and insults.

I like the way you stated this. I was thinking something along these lines, but never having acted (but once in a high school musical), I couldn't think of how to word it. Thanks.
