Wow - they gave Obama peace prize before he even took office the. He started 2 wars. Trump should be a shoo in but somehow don’t think they will give it to him.

I guess having a POTUS who is a narcissistic psychopath desperate for a distraction put things in perspective for them.

Gee. After 65 years, we have a president who finally initiated a possible official end to the Korean War. Add this to the list.

It's great, although makes you wonder... Does it matter there will be a peace treaty between them? Probably not... Unless Kim is really scared now and finally ready to play it nice.

Interesting point. Throughout my career I found that things only got done when issues are addressed. Politicians tend to complicate the simple.

Yes, this is actually true. Political game always makes everything so messy when it doesn't need to be. Albeit really hard to predict reaction in case of North Korea.

Using our simple President as a catalyst toward better relations with the south is a brilliant move by NK. This is their only endgame. They’ll tease denuke to attract Trump’s ambitions. An American president being played like this is embarrassing.

NK has long been going between: - stick (nuclear tests, military visibility...) to appear threatening and unpredictable to the Internat. Community and protective to NKoreans - carrot (foreign opening, freezing of military programs, WMDs destruction...) to get benefits from the IC

Cease fire & peace treaties is just a piece of paper to a dictator or a military democracy (see what it's worth to Russia, the USA, Syria, Israel...). Any military withdrawal should be conditioned to strict control by UN of the reality of NK's actions (eg WMD program scrapping).

3)Not to mention the long-term effects his deregulation/ramped up policing/ICE policies will have on the American prison (brown/black) population as well as immigration, the economy, the environment and education system.
