first they did not purchase anything and were asked to leave. attitude, refused and then police arrive, confirmed they didnt purchase anything &asked them to leave. police had no choice but arrest to remove them. if they bought a coffee or left, then this is nothing. race card

Their friend in the video asked the cop if they were called bc two black guys were at a table and the cop said yes. Rittenhouse is a bougie neighborhood that is scared of black people. I live in Philly I see this shit all the time, just stop.

I appreciate actions taken by @Starbucks & reacted immediately 2 resolve. Please take Starbucks concerns seriously & sincerely. Mr. Kevin Johnson on @CNN was sincere & heart warming. CEO went 2 the location immediately, apologize in person 2 the young men. I support CEO actions.

You don't need a special training to do this. They have to treat all customers equally.

@Starbucks how about you close on Election Day or at least pay employees 2 hours worth so they can all vote.

I don’t think any do but it sure would be a tremendous gesture if they did to ensure everyone could vote without losing wages.

Very unlikely this strategy will work. The racism is systemic and structural. It can’t be eliminated by a one day “training” session. This is nothing more than a band-aid solution to an illness that requires major surgery. #boycottstarbucks

You believe they planned to get arrested for waiting for the rest of their group to arrive before ordering? People do that all the time. I’ve never been arrested for waiting for someone at Starbucks.
