San Francisco knows it's at risk for a big earthquake. Skyscrapers are sprouting up, but not even their engineers can guarantee their safety.https://nyti.ms/2JUBNHE

Construction of skyscrapers in SF is something I was not able to understand or understand how it was allowed. Especially when a huge earthquake seems like an inescapable reality

Tokyo seems to have it dialed in so why do they say no city has seen major temblors enough to study it?

Possibly the highest price of real state per square foot in the country, today with the tech industry even higher. Like building a house on quick sand who will do that. Also probably America's most romantic city my wife, and I visit often just to fall in love again.

Same reasons people live in tornado 🌪 alley, hurricane zones, flood plains , blizzard prone areas. It’s home.

All buildings in San Francisco should be equipped with inflatable life rafts so when the BIG ONE hits, people can float to safety as San Francisco breaks off from California and sinks👍
