Maybe they should've hugged him as he lunged towards the officer Did any of you actually WATCH the clip? A naked man walking down the street is not USUAL meaning he most likely is under the influence of something, try fighting a guy bigger than you who feels he's indestructible

Exactly. He was high, in distress, and needed help. Instead of help, he was tackled, beaten, and embarrassed. Imagine if your child were in that situation, wouldn’t you want the police to help calm him down and get him into a hospital?

That would never be my child, I'm actually a good parent. And what did you suggest that they do? When somebody who's apparently high on drugs and his naked runs straight at you are you supposed to hug him?

So the police were doing their jobs trying to detain a naked, deranged man not comply with verbal commands who they had reports of being under the influence of drugs? Why is the NYT so racist and have to make the race an issue?

Tackle you sure, but the dude suffered enough injuries to still be in the hospital 4 days later. Seems like overkill when he was successfully tackled by THREE officers at the beginning of the altercation.

Ever watched the Chris Rock skit about how to not get your ass kicked by the police? Its a simple two step process. 1) Don't run your mouth and 2) Don't resist arrest.

Punching and hitting, they are their to subdue not assault. Did they even try talking in a tone that calms as apposed to make him more aggressive. The answer appears to be no

They are there to get him to comply and off the street. Period. They are there for public safety. Period. That guy was a threat to himself and others. Period. He ended up a little bruised but no worse for wear. They could have used night sticks.

Idk I'm usually on the side of the public in most police vs civilians, but buddy had it coming in this instance. Can't approach a cop aggressive like that.
