@Starbucks what did the manager think would happen when the police were called?

This kind of crap shouldn't be happening anymore, it's like we're all sent back into a time machine when blacks were denied access to restaurants and lunch counters.

Why were the police called & why were these men booked & if it was a mistake or a racist move, was the employee fired?

Fire the manager. She obviously has a different understanding of corporate policy. This is her fault. You don't selectively choose 2 out of 5 loiterers for police intervention. It should have been obvious to her that it would look bad on the company.

Is he throwing the police under the bus? Also, when you call the police in America and black people are involved, it doesn’t always end well

Yep. The CEO says the manager didn't intend for anyone to get arrested. So taxpayer resources were wasted because she didn't want to be racist by herself.

To The Starbucks CEO: If Your Store Manager Never Intended For These Men To Be Racially Profiled, Humiliated, Disrespected, Disgraced, And Arrested, Then Guess What... It Would Have Never Happened! Take Your Apology And Give It To The Manager When You Fire Her! #BlackLivesMatter

Then why call the police @Starbucks if not to have them arrested. I hope this means all those people who study for 5 hours on a tall pikes place will start being arrested too!! #Racism #CallItByItsName

Well, you don't call the police if you don't want someone to be arrested. And based on the other EYEWITNESSES' accounts, those men did absolutely nothing that would give one reason to call the police. That manager should be fired for creating the situation in the 1st place!

What did this store manager think was gonna happen? Doesn't Starbucks have policies concerning these matters? I'm sure this isn't the first time people have "waited" around in the store.
