The criminal justice system is being managed by private industry investors. They are in it to make money. Less wages, less hours for security guards etc. The criminal justice system needs to be corrected. This is what happens when things are turned over to private industry.

Amazing NOT! Skeleton crews CO's that are as shady/dirty as any inmate with no knowledge of what caused the riot. A joke..maybe there could be many underlying reasons. My first gut would be check staff involvement. Realize how really dirty this could be. 👁wide open!!

For those that are serving crimes that will one day have them reenter our neighborhoods, how about some rehabilitation.. The guards are a dirty lot, drug dealing, sexual exploitation, extortion! i'm the brother of an inmate..what a web of deceit the dept of corrections weaves..

I agree Jay! He wouldn't feel that way if his little Timmy or Cameron was doing time. All Iives matter even inmates.

Debt Slaves in overcrowded Factory prisons explode on each other. NYT- How does Usury unfairly create prison populations? Who's system of Usury do we use? Who benefits? Why does public opinion have little influence on legislation? How does Usury affect that?

The holier-than-thou commenters on this thread remind me of the guy that tried to shoot a black 14-year old for knocking on his door.

I would stand back and let them slug it out. Why risk lives of guards to save lives of violent criminals? No one cares about their victims, but we are supposed to bend over backwards to protect them from themselves?

So you did your research right? You took a look at all their cases before making the narrow minded choice that they are all worthless criminals and not humans right?

I'm as Conservative as they come, but I'm actually with Jay. There are people in those prisons who were sent there for non-violent crimes and don't deserve the death penalty. And as the family member of corrections officers I pray for a speedy resolution to this very soon.

This was a maximum security prison. They don’t send shoplifters or minor offenders there. Enough bleeding hearts.
