Eh. If you have privilege you should stay and fight for those who don’t. I’m sure there are a lot of people who wish they could just pack up and go.

It’s the height of privilege for someone to say, as they do in this article, that they aren’t political, and when another is asked, on the road, about what’s happening in America, they tell people they don’t like to talk about awful things. 🙄

That is something that bothers me daily. I know people who have power and privilege and they “just don’t talk about those things” and “can’t stand how political things are” - it’s people’s LIVES, of course it’s political

Agreed. I understand if it gets to be too much for some and they need a break. What I don’t understand is completely turning off your brain and pretending these things aren’t happening in your own country.

You mention oil companies in your liberal talking point of evil industries. Here in SE Texas oil money flows down, up, sideways, upside down, to everyone in this part of the country. It's anything but evil. That's the reason we have a great economy in our state.

Oil companies have been destroying the environment, lying about climate change, and leading us into conflict around the world for decades. But hey, it's great for Texas so who cares about all that, right?

Not true. The air is cleaner than its been in years (in USA). The false reports and bad science of the climate change chicken littles is all perpetuated by liberals who rely on grants and are discredited if they go against this new religion.
