In many countries, sex with a minor under a certain age is considered rape because the minor is thought to be too young to consent. France has no such law.https://nyti.ms/2HBybtt

Damn, your reporters can't even figure out how to use google. This is why we call @nytimes #fakenews The age of consent in France is 15. See: Article 227-25 of the Penal Code.pic.twitter.com/44tnikSMOL

The @nytimes tweet doesn't clearly say what you say it does. Which is why people should read the article.

Are you dumb, blind, or reading a different tweet than me? I just quoted the tweet "France has no such law"

Wow, you're a pleasant person. The tweet says that the law doesn't define sex with a minor as rape. Which is discussed in the article. Obviously, you have no interest in civil discourse.

So you're just gonna ignore all your other mistake mistatements and go with that? The tweet says France has no such law, and it does.

My uncle raped me when I was 11. I eventually ran away from home and reported him 25 years later and I called the West Virginia police dept and they took my police report over the phone and arrested him the next day. He confessed to raping over 50 kids. Thank You Wva #MeToopic.twitter.com/lkEbsN57US

The infantilisation of teenagers is a recent historical phenomenon. For most of history they were considered mature enough to work, get married and play a full part in society.
