Brennan Walker got lost on his way to his high school in a Detroit suburb. He knocked on a stranger’s door for help. The homeowner picked up his shotgun.https://nyti.ms/2H23LDi

Walking around in some Detroit neighborhoods is pretty damn dangerous. I'm not sure how he wasn't able to remember the directions since he's (hopefully) been going to school since last Aug.-Sept. Would've been best to just go back home.

The neighborhood that he was lost in is mostly made up of cul de sacs and winding streets. There are no perpendicular streets. It’s very easy to get lost.pic.twitter.com/BM64MA54Jp

Yes but going to the same place 5 days a week for about 8 months, you'd think someone would pay attention to their surroundings.

Wasn't taking about the criminality of the shooter's intent. Whether it's in a vehicle or not, the scenery is the same. I was born and lived in Detroit for over 10 years, it's not safe to end up in certain neighborhoods. Facts.

This is Trump’s America. His racist rhetoric fuels this kind of hate and mistrust. That poor child. I’m glad he ran and stayed alive.

If it was like that 2 years ago too then it was the color of Pres. Obama which strengthened those racist feeling of white people. They could not accept him as president. Trump supercharged those feelings to feverish level.

Racism had been alive and well for 500 yrs. Sometimes is in your face sometimes ours behind your back but it's always gonna be there no matter who "supercharged" it. If you feel the need to point a finger more power to ya.

Jeffery Ziegler should have his weapons taken away from him and he should be barred from ever owning guns. He clearly is not a responsible gun owner but a paranoid racist who attempted to murder an innocent child.

Paranoid racist? He’s a older scared white dude in a urban setting with a black teen knocking on his door. It’s the expected result. Doesn’t mean he’s racist. Just scared and dumb.

Rochester Hills is not "urban" U hear crickets at night out there that kid lived out there. His father is deployed in the Middle East. That man is a coward and racist If he would have shot at any of my family members. Everybody related to him Would have caught bullets.

No he doesn’t get to decide. As a spouse of a retired Navy veteran I’m too aware. However, the stress on the family is REAL given Trump tweeting about attacking Syria just adds to it. To then find out your son was shot at, the mom is superwoman in my eyes.
